WATER AND MOLD FOUND IN LONG BEACH BUILDING
When water damaged this building in Long Beach, our crew quickly began an assessment of the situation. Standing water was found throughout the facility, coming from a broken sprinkler line. They moisture mapped the area, and asbestos and lead paint testing was also conducted. Mold was found within the walls, and demolition was required to remove the areas with extensive growth. They extracted water and used pumps in heavy areas; additionally, our crews managed to remove collapsed ceiling tiles and insulation. Due to insufficient power, they were only able to set up dehumidifiers to assist with the humid ambient air. In one unit, they ran a generator due to the power being shut off. Fortunately, they were able to restore it back to new.
